I am thrilled to be the new director of the Library Foundation, and I am excited for the journey ahead with the La Conner Swinomish Library. The recent capital campaign was an incredible success, and I am in awe of the award-winning and outstandingly innovative LEED certified building that has been made possible by everyone’s contributions. Each time I walk through the doors, I am reminded of the tremendous support our community has given to this project.

I feel so fortunate to have Susan Macek, the former Foundation Director and current President of the library’s board, for her wisdom and grace—she has given me invaluable direction and support in this new position. And I am strikingly inspired by the creativity, generosity, and strong community spirit throughout La Conner.

I invite you to visit the library and explore the wide range of books as well as the innovative events and programs currently offered. As we move forward together, your continued support will help grow the Foundation’s long-term capacity to fund the library’s diverse programs and resources that are truly here for everyone.
